July 6th, 2011 Campaign Update Email
Dear Friends and Supporters,
I hope everyone had fun and safe 4th of July! I want to take a moment to update you on my campaign for Charleston City Council. Since announcing my bid for the District 11 seat, I have met with many of you, both residents and business owners alike; and I have listened to the issues that are important to you and your families. I’ve shared my vision on how we can improve city services while watching the bottom line. I believe we must prioritize our spending and increase revenues without raising taxes or fees. Business owners have told me that elected officials must improve the environment needed for business to once again prosper, and I’ve given my promise to work to find solutions that will help grow our economy. I’m excited by your support and your financial contributions to my campaign, but we still have a long way to go until the November elections.
District 11 councilmember Timmy Mallard has announced that he will not seek re-election in November, and I want to take this opportunity to thank Timmy personally for his service on council. There is another challenger in this race, and I look forward to sharing with the voters my vision, experience and proven leadership as why I’m the best candidate for District 11.
I kindly ask that you forward this email to ten of your friends and family, in an effort to help get the word out to folks who live within District 11. If you need anything, feel free to contact me or visit my web site which is currently under construction at www.votemoody.com.
Audrey and I wish you a safe summer, and I look forward to visiting with you soon!
Thank you again,
